Our products and services have secured the stamp of approval from Denmark’s Gron Salon accreditation body – with no toxic or harmful chemical substances used in any of our products.
From our end-to-end operations we work to reduce electricity and heating usage, water consumption, waste management and chemical substances. We clean our salon with environmentally-labelled detergents and we focus on organic choices in all that we do.
The Penny Black Organic team offers Australia’s first and only truly Green Salon experience. We actively pursue continuous improvement in our products and services towards the health and well-being of our clients and our local communities.
Our products all meet strict certification requirements under the Nordic Ecolabel – a practical tool for consumers to help them actively choose environmentally sound products. The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is an ISO 14024 type 1 Ecolabelling system and is a third-party control organ. Products carrying the Nordic Swan Ecolabel meet extremely high environmental and often climate requirements. A life-cycle perspective of the product is analysed, i.e., the product’s impact on the environment from raw material/source to waste.
Criteria is also set with regard to quality, health aspects and performance/functionality. Each product group has overriding general criteria requirements as well as product-specific requirements.
